This is my graduation work. This work was on display during the graduation show of the Gerrit Rietveld Academie from July 2nd till July 6th 2014 in Amsterdam, The Netherlands.

‘Let me entertain you’ (videowork 8″) I interrogate my personal and social landscape by questioning the willingness and gestural capacities of those involved through the means of dance and performance. Since dance is something I never seriously ambitioned after the age of 10, but remained something I find very pure and fulfilling, it is also a personal exploration of the notion of dance. Furthermore it explores how to apply dance as metaphoric value and by using it as free expressive form that is simply to entertain or make one happy. Also, it makes me think about the relationship between art and entertainment. Does art need to entertain?
